Healing Hands, Hopeful Hearts

Missionary Hands was founded in 2014 by a Massachusetts family with deep roots across Peru and Latin America. It was through those connections that we witnessed firsthand the lack of access to basic medical and dental care in remote communities, and we knew we had to do something about it. What began as one family's response to a need we could not ignore has since grown into an annual mission dedicated to serving those communities with free healthcare, faith, and love.

Our volunteer team travels for week-long mission trips, setting up on-site clinics where we provide free medical and dental services to the communities we serve at no cost to the patients, ever.

But our mission goes beyond the clinic. Each day we are in the field, we also host programs for the children of the community, giving them a safe and joyful space to learn and grow in faith. In the evenings, we gather the community together for health talks and sermons, offering pratical education alongside spiritual encouragement.

We believe that true service means caring for the whole person, incuding the body, mind, and spirit. That conviction is at the heart of everything we do. As we look to the future, we hope to expand our reach to additional communities across Latin America and beyond, carrying the same love and dedication that has defined Missionary Hands from the very beginning.

Meet Our Team

Claudia Guillen

Founder

The visionary behind Missionary Hands, driven by a deep passion for making quality healthcare accessible to those who need it most. In addition to leading our medical mission each summer, Claudia is also the founder of Bites of Health, a community-based program integrating culinary education and culturally grounded health coaching. Her dedication to whole-person care is at the heart of everything we stand for.

Hector Guillen

Co-Founder

It was a family visit to his homeland of Peru that first opened our eyes to the urgent need in remote communities there, and it was his love for his people that turned that moment into a mission. Behind the scenes and in the field, Hector serves as a vital bridge between our team and the communities we serve through translation and logistic communication.

Linda Johnson

Financial Director

From our very first mission trip in 2014, Linda has served each coommunity with her whole heart and continues to be a core memeber to our team. She keeps Missionary Hands running behind the scenes as our Financial Director, managing our finances and ensuring that every donation is handled with care and integrity.
